Yay… finally the big day had arrived.
Together with Filomeno vom Donauvillino, we drove to Uttenweiler to visit Anni and her lovely family, and to see Belize vom Donauvillino and his babies.
Even before the journey began, there was something special in the air. My sister Leni was so excited. After all, she is a grandmother now. Her tail wagged happily again and again, as if her little heart was jumping with joy. Together with our humans Petra and Violeta, we set off on our adventure.
And then we finally arrived.
It only took a moment before tiny little paws came curiously running around us. Filomeno became so gentle and soft the moment he saw his babies. He played with them with such calmness and love, as if he understood exactly how carefully little puppy hearts should be treated.
The puppies followed him everywhere, full of trust and curiosity. Especially the small brown girl was completely in love with her daddy. Again and again she searched for his closeness, hopping after him on her tiny paws and looking at him with her dark little eyes as if he were the most wonderful dog in the whole world.
We were also allowed to sniff the beautiful little girl who had been born last. So tiny, so delicate, and so full of life. Amara was incredibly loving with her. She made herself very small, gently nudged the little one, and carefully invited her to play. It was so touching to watch how tender and sensitive she was with the tiny puppy.
And right in the middle of all these loving moments, Grandma Ivi was there too. Calm, attentive, and carrying that special look dogs have when they feel that family is together.
Sadly, we were not allowed to go to the back with the rest of the pack because Belize is protecting her babies very carefully. And we understood that well. A mother watches over her children with all her heart. So we stayed together in the front and simply enjoyed our precious time together.
It was not a loud or spectacular day. It was one of those quiet and precious days that settle deeply into your heart. Full of warmth. Full of trust. Full of love between generations.
And when we drove home later that day, all of us carried a little more happiness inside our hearts.
