Zelenia – lovingly called Leni – is my sister and lives with us in the Mosel village castle, ever since Anni Vischer entrusted her to my human with great care and confidence. Leni is a dog full of grace and warmth. She moves with a quiet elegance that only truly special dogs possess. Her dark eyes observe everything closely, and her nature is gentle, intelligent, and deeply sensitive.
She loves to lie beneath the cherry tree in the shade garden, where the wind softly rustles through the leaves. But she’s also always up for fun – whether it's playtime in the meadow or a little adventure through the village, ears flying and eyes full of joy. Sometimes, Leni has to leave the castle for a while – when she is mated and later, when her puppies are born. During this time, she becomes a devoted mother: caring, patient, and strong. Once her little ones have found loving homes, she returns – to us.
And every time she steps back through the village castle door, it feels like the missing piece of the puzzle has finally clicked back into place. Everything is just as it should be – we lie side by side, explore the world together, and share stories from our dog lives in our own way. We are sisters. And best friends.
Leni belongs here. Without her, it just wouldn’t be the same.
Until next time,
