Hello, dear friends, it’s your Zoë vom Donauvillino again!
Today I would like to tell you about one of those wonderful days when nothing special is planned – and yet the day turns into a little adventure.
Of course, my daughter Amara vom Moseldorfschloss, my nephew Filomeno vom Donauvillino, and his mother, my sister Zelenia vom Donauvillino, were there. We all call her Leni. Naturally, our human was with us too.
As soon as we set off, nothing could hold Filo back. With his hair flying in the wind, he raced across the meadow as if he had discovered a mysterious treasure somewhere. Amara, of course, needed no second invitation and immediately chased after him.
First to the left, then to the right, making a wide circle around a tree – and suddenly the two of them disappeared into the tall grass!
For a brief moment, everything was quiet.
Our human stopped and watched in their direction with anticipation. Then we heard rustling and a soft snort – and there they were again: Filo and Amara. Their white coats were covered with little leaves, their eyes sparkled with joy, and their faces clearly said that they had discovered a very important secret back there!
Naturally, I had to investigate immediately. After all, I am Amara’s mother, and I am also a very curious Coton lady. So I dashed over to them, and our next wild race began. We romped across the meadow, jumped through the grass, and raced so quickly that our human hardly knew which one of us to watch first.
Only Leni was not carried away by our excitement. She stood there calmly, watching us with her loving eyes, and seemed to be thinking:
“Go on and play – sooner or later, you’ll get tired.”
Well … perhaps eventually!
While the three of us played exuberantly, Leni preferred to enjoy the warm sunshine and the peace and quiet. Every now and then, she would stroll over to us, sniff briefly, and make sure that everything was truly all right during our little adventure. After all, she is not only my sister and Filo’s mother, but also the one who keeps an overview even in the middle of the greatest Coton chaos.
When we continued walking together later, things gradually became quieter. Filo walked contentedly beside his mother, Amara stayed close to me, and our human kept looking at us with a happy smile.
At that moment, we all felt how precious this time together is. You do not need a long journey or a special occasion. Sometimes all you need is a meadow, a mysterious rustling in the grass, a wild race, and the people and dogs you love with all your heart.
We did not collect any trophies or ribbons that day. Instead, we collected something far more valuable: wonderful hours, joyful moments, and memories that will remain in our hearts forever.
That’s us: Filomeno, Amara, Leni, and me, your Zoë. Four Cotons, one human, and countless adventures together.
And I can promise you one thing: Our next Coton story is surely waiting for us just behind the next tree!
Zoë
