Today, I’d like to introduce you to my daughter,Amara vom Moseldorfschloss. She’s not only beautiful, but also curious, clever, and full of joy – a true child of the cherry tree garden at our peaceful castle home.
Every now and then, our human takes Amara on little adventures into the city. For a young pup like her, the bustling streets are full of wonders. So many new sounds – honking cars, fluttering pigeons, clinking coffee cups in the cafés – and all those exciting smells! Amara walks with perked ears and shining eyes, ready to take it all in.
People often stop and ask, enchanted, “What kind of dog is that? She’s so fluffy!” And once they hear the answer, they smile and gently scratch her behind the ears. One day, our human and Amara were even photographed for the Trierer Volksfreund newspaper! Since then, she’s become something of a local celebrity – from the baker to the bus driver, everyone seems to know her now.
And there’s one moment we still chuckle about: on her very first streetcar ride, Amara stood completely still, all four paws planted wide apart, eyes big as saucers. The floor had suddenly started to move, and she looked up at our human as if to say, “Is this normal? Should we be worried?” Luckily, a kind older gentleman offered her a biscuit – and just like that, public transport didn’t seem so scary anymore.
Then there’s my sister Leni, our family’s connoisseur of treats. One sunny morning at the market, she spotted a little boy with a giant pretzel. Sitting down like the perfect lady, she tilted her head ever so sweetly – and of course, the boy couldn’t resist. A small piece of pretzel dropped in front of her. But Leni, well-mannered as always, looked up at our human first. Only after receiving a gentle nod did she take the treat with a happy wag of her tail, as if it were a royal gift bestowed upon her.
Sometimes, the three of us – Leni, Amara, and I – go exploring together. We stroll through narrow alleys, rest beneath café tables, and watch the world go by. These aren’t just outings – they’re memories we carry with us in our hearts.
And we can’t wait to see what Amara will discover next.
Until next time,
